are there any diet pills/aids that really work? it seems like all the weight loss products they advertise are just herbal supplements etc and i hear none of them work–has anyone used anything that really helps curb your appetite? i know we have to excersise in order to lose weight and there are no magic pills–but years ago the dexatrin pills did help because they made you not feel hungry—-by the way does anyone know why they changed those? i know they are different now and they no longe rhave an ingriedient they originally did as–why did they have to change them–was it the fda?thanks
i do know that there are no magic pills but many claim to curb your hunger and i find that hard to believe because everyine i know that has tried the ones that claim this have told me it dies not curb hunger at all

First of all, I’d like to ask you what you consider healthy for a 15 year old male that is 5 foot 8 inches, and what is unhealthy. I currently weight 127, so I would like to see where I stand. I’ve been dealing with depression for a while, and I have developed anorexia. The depression itself isn’t one that causes me to always be in a glum mood, but goes on and off and can be triggered by certain things. When I say certain things, I mean things such as: certain music, books, exercise. Avoiding these things is kind of out of the question, but I am a bit willing to fix this myself. My parents do not know anything, but I have lost a lot of weight. Currently my waistline has no fat and you can feel all my bones under the skin. My sister does think I’m anorexic, but I don’t think she understands anything. She’s accused me of not eating because I want attention, which in reality really hurt me. I’m not sure what to do, and I don’t think curing this is all that easy? I guess you can say I’m in one of my different moods at the moment, because honestly, I hate the idea of giving up this self control and weight loss? I have a fear of any foods, and am fed up with having to deal with myself, not to mention I hate myself for it. I’ve heard depression pills make you gain a lot of weight, so I rather not go there. Would there be any herbal supplements or pills that can treat depression and or anorexia? I do not like psychologists as the ones I have been to in the past needed more psychological help then even I did. Sorry if I sounded melodramatic at all, but I’m just trying to be honest.

Here are the details
In July 2007 I had my Gall Bladder removed. I weight between 180 and 200 lbs
In Jan. 2008 I had my tonsils removed
I started gaining weight steadily from here on out.
In April 2008 I saw my doctor and was "diagnosed" with depression. Was told that the weight gain was caused by the depression.
I started talking Generic Wellbutrin
In May 2008 I saw a gyno since I have only had one natural period, and the rest were forced by birthcontrol.
She put me on Metformin for insulin resistance, and probable PCOS
In about 2 years I have put on more the 100lbs.
My diet hasnt changed, and I still have the same amount of activity. I eat healthy.
I stopped taking the Metformin because it makes me severily ill and I didnt have insurance to go back for refills and check ups.
I recently got my insurance back, and I have an appointment to get checked, but I need some outside help for weight loss and ideas to try. I would like to try diet pills? or herbal supplements. Help please.

Nowadays, most diet pills are a combo of herbal supplements. Are they really still addictive? Do you think they can be used effectively to lose weight? Have we just not gotten over Ephedra and the diet pills of the "olden days"? What’s so bad about diet pills?
Address all the issues of weight loss – "magic pills", needing to exercise even though you may find success with a diet pill, the psychology of diet pills and dieting and how those factors contribute to the good or bad of diet pills.
I’m asking this out of curiousity of what answers it will solicit, not really for my own personal need or anything.
Hi, yeah, READ THE FREAKIN’ QUESTION IF YOU WANT TO ANSWER.

I need to lose about 1.5st and would normally do it through exercise however, lately due to work, I haven’t got out much and have put on a bit of weight that needs shifting. The problem I have is that I am suffering with back pain caused by slipped disc and trapped nerves in the past. It means that at the moment I am unable to run like I am used to (30k per week), and a cycle outside becomes a bit ‘twingy’ after 2 hours or so.
I don’t want to get in a vicous circle where I need to exercise to lose weight, but can’t exercise due to back pain.
I know once I have lost a few pounds that my back problems will probably ease. I am aware there are a number of products out there, and in the past used Zotrim to help lose the initial weight. I am also well aware that once you finished these herbal supplements, you need to exercise regularly to keep the weight off. I just wondered if anyone had used LIPOBIND in the past and what they tought of it, or maybe recommended any other supplements?
